About The Write Design

Hello. I'm Elizabeth Short. Thanks for the opportunity to share a little about myself and my business. I began growing The Write Design after several years of putting my writing and design skills to work at various educational and nonprofit institutions. Creating manuals, flyers, and copy for class catalogs was great fun, but I longed for bigger challenges.

Pursuing my love of words, I began writing freelance magazine articles on subjects ranging from gourmet cuisine to estate planning to navigating the Inside Passage. I also joined employees from companies like Microsoft and Boeing at Bellevue Community College in Bellevue, Washington where I trained as a technical editor. Certificate in hand, I then took my writing and editing services to the business community.

My career evolved further when clients began to request design services in addition to editing and copywriting. So I dusted off my graphics skills, learned the industry's latest and greatest software programs, and got to work designing. Businesses were delighted with the results, and so was I.

Now offering clients a full repertoire of services, I'm pleased to give clients what they previously thought impossible - a powerful combination of words and images, all from a single marketing professional..
